After the successful completion of the 2 week Summer Academy in Bratislava, Vienna and Mauerbach, the Leadership Development Prpogramme starts the next phase: implementation of the Group Activities.
During the Summer Academy in Bratislava LDP Fellows finished a one day intensive training on Project Management and Group Activities. The session gave an introduction to basic Project management tools for small scale projects. The methods were presented and illustrated in the context of case examples.
Fellows were presented all phases of Project Management Cycle; during the Project Development session fellows were introduced to all tools for assessing needs, defining project objectives and approach after which they drafted their project proposals and defined roles in the team in the framework of Group Activities.
In the Project Planning session they had an opportunity to learn about tools for defining, scheduling and budgeting project activities and according to these instructions they drafted the activity plan and budget.
The next phase of the Programme is implementation of the Group Activities in the Western Balkan region. Five events will take place in Tirana – “Communication the EU to young people in Southeast Europe”, Sarajevo – “National Identities, Minority rights and European integration”, Pristina – “Regional Cooperation in Southeast Europe”, Skopje – “How can the EU do better in the Balkans” and Belgrade – “The Challenge of taking the next steps towards the EU membership”.
The final events for Group Activities will take place in February and March 2011.
