The continuous integration process of countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia, some at the “beginning” of their journey and some at the “end”, poses to their citizens the necessity for information and effective communication. The youth, as primary beneficiaries of this process, have a substantial need to understand obligations and benefits which derive from the EU integration.
This project serves to improve the communication of the EU to the youth by comparatively analyzing the national strategies implemented by the respective governments in improving the overall understanding that youth have when it comes to EU issues. Further on, this comparative analysis aims to exchange experience between countries which are situates in different positions of the integration track.
Finally, perhaps the most significant feature of this research is that conducted by young people for young people, thus demonstrating a practical way how they can (attempt) to influence integration processes in respective countries. We hope to contribute to the improvement of the policies and strategies undertaken by these 4 SEE countries and in fostering knowledge among young people about the EU.
